Comprehensive details on NELP, Pre-NELP, CBM, small and medium-sized blocks The report documents individual activities in all NELP blocks in the country. Similar updates are also given on all pre-NELP blocks, as well as on, what are termed, "small sized" and "medium sized" fields. There is a comprehensive chapter on CBM activities too. The data is provided
in a very comprehensive manner. The duration of the three-phase work
programmes are tabulated for each block, followed by the exact quantum
of work programme committed by the operator in terms of seismic surveys,
G&G work and drilling plans. The committed programme is then benchmarked
against the actual progress of work. Deviations between what is committed
and what happens on the ground are highlighted and the next line of
action is documented. Contractual updates A status update (as on April, 2010) is also given on all contractual issues, in terms of extensions sought for work programmes and damages, if any, levied and snags faced in eliciting environmental clearances. In other words, what you have is a very comprehensive update on all exploration blocks in the country. In this context, this is indeed a valuable document for all those who are interested in India’s E&P sector. |
